GRANTS – REQUIRED INFORMATION

If your program goals fit into one of our focus themes, you are geographically near a Corning business location and you have been invited to apply for a grant, you may want to get your grant application process started. Typically, an organization can request funding once in a 12-month period. Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis and do not need to be summited the same month each year. The Foundation encourages invited organizations to apply early in the grant cycle.

Grant Cycle Dates

  • Corning, NY area locations: February 15, 2022 – October 15, 2022
  • Corning Business Locations: February 15, 2022 – September 15, 2022
    • Selected budgeted organizations will be required to turn applications by an internal May 30, 2022 deadline

Be sure and have this information ready, as it’s all required with your application:

  • Federal Tax Identification Number provided by the Internal Revenue Service or if a school district the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) number
  • Organization’s mission statement
  • Name and contact information of senior administrative officer of the organization and primary contact for the project (if different individuals)
  • A project description with the following:
    • Objectives and specific activities to accomplish these goals
    • Criteria for evaluating the program
    • An explanation of how the request meets Corning Incorporated Foundation program interests
    • Demonstration of how the project or program promotes cooperation among existing organizations in the field
    • The long-range plan for generating other funding and attaining increased self-sufficiency
  • An itemized project budget showing sources of committed and proposed income and expenses
  • Organization’s current budget with two year history of actuals listing sources of income and expenses
  • A staff organization chart and a list of board officers and directors
  • A synopsis of the previous year’s grant with the outcomes of the funding (if applicable)
  • Organization’s latest audited financial statements
