Corning Incorporated Foundation is committed to managing financial resources efficiently and effectively.
In issuing grants, the Foundation staff and Trustees are guided by a comprehensive strategic plan and an ongoing desire to have a positive impact on Corning communities.
The Foundation’s fiscal year is January 1 through December 31.
Each year, the Foundation engages independent auditors to thoroughly examine financial statements and review the effectiveness of the Foundation’s internal controls. Results of Foundation audits are typically released each April.
The Foundation also completes Form 990-PF, an informational return for U.S.-based private foundations for reporting assets, investments, expenses, and grant activity to the Internal Revenue Service.
